Eleven year old Cameron...

Lost his father to cancer just one month after his grandmother had also passed away.  Cameron became severely withdrawn from his family and friends and had lost interest in school, something he had previously enjoyed.  His family wanted to become more involved in each other's lives and do more together.  Cameron wanted to become more active in school, both academically and socially.  His Wraparound Facilitator connected Cameron to his school's football program where he made the starting roster.  Cameron became more involved with classmates and began to have more friends over to his house.  Due to the football program's strict policy regarding grades, Cameron's grades consistently improved until he was passing all of his classes.  His whole family attended Cameron's football games and would go out to eat afterward to share with one another about their day.  The family began weekly family dinner nights and monthly family movie or game nights.  Cameron's brother said he had never been as close to his brother before, and he attributed that to working with Ascent.
